Born in Mexico City. In his early years, Leo has danced in various salsa groups and competed while living in Chicago in 1999. After moving to Winnipeg, Leo founded Salsa Explosion and became one of Winnipeg's largest Salsa promoters. He has been teaching salsa and bachata for the past 15 years, and continues to encourage and inspire his students to reach their highest goals.

Ana Karen is a 3x Manitoba Dance Festival Ballet Scholarship Recipient, and has won the highest overall score for all senior solos at the Canadian National Dance Championships for a pointe solo. Most recently, Ana has won the Pro-Am Canadian Championships in Toronto, placed 1st at the Pro-Am World Salsa Championships in Miami, and placed 1st in the Professional WLDC qualifiers in Toronto.
Classes are entertaining, well instructed by Leo and the rest of the crew. It's never a boring evening at this place. I highly recommend this for anyone not sure what to do for date night or in general. Take your coworkers or friends along, you'll have a blast!
